Robin from MOBICOURS is testing TRAIL-MATE

Accessibility must be something you can experience! That was our field test at IRMA Hamburg 2026.

At the IRMA in Hamburg, we had the special opportunity to extensively test our TRAIL-MATE path system together with Robin from MOBICOURS. For us, such field tests are particularly valuable because no laboratory or theoretical assessment can replace what people in wheelchairs experience every day.

Our goal is clear: remove barriers and create paths that were previously impassable or difficult to navigate. Make every path yours.

The field test

Robin invited us to his MOBICOURS test course to put our TRAIL-MATE path system through its paces. Just a few meters in, it became clear what a difference TRAIL-MATE can make: small edges, obstacles, or gaps can be navigated by wheelchair with ease.

Where uneven terrain normally requires effort or even becomes an obstacle, TRAIL-MATE enables much more comfortable and safer progress. Robin was particularly impressed by how easy the individual elements are to transport and how quickly they can be laid out.

Robin tested the system with various driving maneuvers and gave us valuable feedback directly. It is precisely this practical feedback that helps us to continuously develop our product.Wheelchair user holding a TRAIL-MATE path element during the field test with MOBICOURS at IRMA Hamburg 2026

Robin's conclusion

His impression was clear: A mobile path system like TRAIL-MATE can make a real difference in many places.

Whether at events, festivals, on beaches, in parks, on meadows, or for temporary use – wherever wheelchair users have previously reached their limits, new possibilities for self-determined mobility are created.

Together for more inclusion

The exchange with Robin from MOBICOURS has once again shown how important it is to work with people who live accessibility every day. Only through honest feedback can solutions be created that really work in everyday life.

We would like to thank Robin sincerely for the open exchange, his time, and his valuable suggestions.

Who is MOBICOURS?

Robin from MOBICOURS helps people make their mobility in a wheelchair safer, more independent, and better suited to everyday life. His services are aimed at both wheelchair users and their relatives, institutions, and organizations.

The focus is on practical training and individual coaching. Robin teaches techniques for safely handling a wheelchair – from overcoming small obstacles and efficient driving on different surfaces to gaining more self-confidence in everyday life. His goal is to support people in expanding their mobility and gaining new freedom.

This is precisely why the joint test at IRMA Hamburg was so valuable. Robin was able to assess the TRAIL-MATE path system not only from a technical point of view, but above all from the perspective of an experienced mobility trainer. His feedback and suggestions help us to continuously develop TRAIL-MATE and to align it even better with the needs of wheelchair users.

We look forward to further joint projects with Robin and the MOBICOURS team!
